Hurricane Season brings Hardship to the Blue Mountains
Two weeks after "Tropical Storm GuStav" passed through the Blue Mountains we are still reeling from its effects, here at Lime Tree Farm & all over the Blue Mountains we are still cut off from the outside world with our roads blocked & no electricity, thankfully we have not been hit by 3 hurricanes in a row like Haiti & Cuba but we have felt the combined effects of these storms with constant rain for the past 3 weeks. 4 people lost their lives during Gustav in Gordon Town – the gateway to the Blue Mountains & our thoughts go out to their families.
We would like to send a message of regret out to our brethren in Haiti & Cuba who have suffered miserably with considerable loss of life - when will the worlds super powers realize that"Global Warming" is causing considerable damage & hardship to some of the poorer people on this planet & make some serious commitments to at least slow it down?
