A Naturalist’s Dream Holiday
The Blue Mountains fan out 45 km (28 miles) from Kingston Town across Eastern Jamaica and are so named after their rolling early morning light blue mists. They rise so steeply that it’s possible to drive from the coast to an elevation of over 2,133 metres (7,000 ft) in less than an hour.
Home to 500 flowering plants, half of which are endemic to Jamaica they attract the world’s second largest butterfly, the Homerus Swallowtail, and act as one of the largest migratory bird habitats in the Caribbean with 200 species of resident and migratory birds.

3 Days Isn't Enough.."My friend and I recently had the wonderful opportunity to spend 3 nights (which isn't enough time) at Lime Tree Farm in the Blue Mountains. One of the owners, Charlie, picked us up about half-way up the mountain, which we were grateful for because it allowed us to relax and enjoy the adventure.
Charlie, Suzie, Roger & Tiffany provided everything we needed and treated us like family. Suzie is a fabulous chef, one of the best in Jamaica. Plus it is one of the most beautiful, real and peaceful places on the island. We are glad that we didn't miss it and we will definitely be going back."
